We've eaten here a few times, but this is the first time we've stayed, and I'm very glad we did. We stayed two nights for a New Years Eve package, including a 5 course menu, starting with champagne and canapes. All of the food was excellent, beautifully cooked and presented, with good flavour combinations. Service was exceptional, attentive, helpful, fun, just lovely people. Dinner the following night was their standard menu, which is also excellent. Our room was also great, plenty of space and we'll equipped. Plus points for sockets either side of the bed, with usb ports for charging. The bathroom has a shower, no bath, but the shower is excellent, good pressure, plenty of hot water, and a good supply of lovely products. I'm sure we'll be back, everything about the Fox and Hounds is delightful.

Recently stayed at a cottage in the village and we popped in for a few drinks. Beautiful pub with great service and also dog friendly in the bar area which is great

Stayed overnight as part of a group. The Inn has been refurbished to an excellent standard. Very comfortable room, superb food, nice real ale and attentive, courteous staff. Would highly recommend

Only went for lunch but was very good. Service and atmosphere also good. Assume gets busy in full season etc. Interesting art work in the gents!!

We went for a meal here on a Monday evening. This is a lovely example of a traditional country pub with a very high standard of service and quality food. Two fires going, lovely decor and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We look forward to returning.

We’ve stayed last year and the room, meal and staff were fantastic! Visited again today for a Sunday dinner with our baby boy and it was another wonderful experience. The best roast we’ve had, possibly ever. Catered for my partner who is coeliac, even a great choice of beers for him. The service was brilliant, especially the chap who served us outside- lovely man! Everything topped off by the wonderful, peaceful setting. Thank you!

Had a fabby meal here a few years ago, so decided to pop back and stay along with the dogs to celebrate the hubby's birthday. 2 nights staying in one of the garden rooms which was very convenient to the bar! Would go again.

One night stay at this beautiful Inn Wish our stay had been for longer The decor is lovely Our bedroom was excellent,clean with everything on hand ..hot shower great bed Food was tasty well cooked and presented All the staff friendly very welcoming helpful and caring We will definitely be back for a longer stay Highly recommend

I can’t thank everyone at Fox & hounds who made it so enjoyable from start to finish. Amanda and Mark was brilliant bar team and kitchen staff are great and very professional. It’s never easy taking 7 people away with different tastes etc and options. Everyone loved the food and drink. The rooms are perfect and breakfast was very well received after the wine and fizz the night before.

Great service as always from helen and her team,room was great with alterations and decorating done since last visit,food was excellant although after a 3 night stay the menu was limited with 2 courses not available.prices for meals have increased a great deal with a 8oz steak at £40 with 6 chips and garnish !

Spent New Years Evening here, cannot fault the Fox on anything, Hospitable, welcoming and Friendly. Rooms are lovely and well appointed, plentiful parking, staff are brilliant, friendly and most helpful, Chefs 8 course Gala dinner (fixed menu for New years) was out of this world, absolutely wonderful, highly recommended.

Excellent food if a little pricey (£7.50 for a bowl of tomato soup, £22 for mac and cheese). Service was good, efficient and polite. Table a little small for four place settings. Definitely recommended though and you won’t regret going!

Lovely terraced area with heating. Popped in after a walk, I wouldn't say the food is typically pub grub looking at the menu. Very nice staff and well presented pub
